James is an Employment Relations Specialist who provides advice and mentoring to the bossed team.  

James has expert knowledge of NZ employment relations and its practical application, and is an experienced negotiator, arbitrator and a trained mediator.    

James worked as a member of the NZ Employment Relations Authority for over a decade, and held the position of Chief of the Authority for seven of those years.  James has also held roles in  a range of organisations including Martin Jenkins, Fonterra and Health Benefits Ltd, Oji Fibre Solutions. 

Through his vast experience James has developed a solid understanding of business imperatives and complex operating environments including the public sector. He has advised government officials on proposed changes to employment legislation and been a key player in ER strategy across the public health sector.
